Lifestyle “Begin With”

Easier said than done, believe me I know! From a very young age we are conditioned to fit in, to be like everyone else because that is accepted by society as “normal”. But it is “normal” to hide your authenticity, your true essence, out of fear of being judged or not being accepted by society?
Growing up, I was taught to not make mistakes, to fear God and his judgement. The same concept was taught in terms of society, “what will people think”?
As I began the journey within, I slowly started to unlearn everything I was taught to fear. It was quite the process, and still is in some moments. As I became more aware (in spiritual sense), I started to see every situation and encounter from a different perspective. There is no such thing as coincidence, there is a purpose for everyone we meet and every situation we face. The challenge is to make the connection, acceptance and understanding.
Our journey on this earth is ours alone, no one can dictate how we choose to live our lives, but us. People may have a positive or negative influence but ultimately, we are the ones who are in charge of our own destiny.
No one can live our lives for us, they may walk beside us, but they can’t walk for us, so why fear what others may think or say?
We, as souls living a human experience, will face challenges in life that will teach us many lessons and inspire us to become better individuals, it’s up to us to view it as such.
Whether we go through good or bad experiences, focusing on the lessons rather than on the losses will improve our way of life. Everybody goes through experiences like these, but what will set us apart is how we react and respond to each situation. Remaining positive even with all the negativity that surrounds our life will train our minds to look for the good in every setting.
Gratitude, empathy, acceptance of ourselves and others, understanding, kindness, compassion, and inner work are everyday lessons we should strive for.
