Former NBA player Rasual Butler dies in car crash
Former NBA player Rasual Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle, died in a car crash Wednesday. Butler was 38.
Butler lost control of his vehicle, struck a parking meter and slammed into a wall early Wednesday morning, according to a report from TMZ. Officers believe the car was speeding before the accident occurred.
The former second-round pick spent 13 seasons in the NBA, suiting up for the Miami Heat, New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans, Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards and San Antonio Spurs. His stint with the Raptors lasted 34 games in 2011-12.
Butler most recently played in Ice Cube’s BIG3 league.
