Victim in fatal weekend shooting in Vaughan identified

York Regional Police have identified the victim of a weekend shooting at a suburban house in the Kleinburg area of Vaughan.

They say 26-year-old Kevin Prempeh died early Saturday morning after being shot multiple times.

Neighbours recall hearing a rapid series of gunshots at about 3:30 a.m., adding that there were a number of guests occupying the house, which they say was a short-term rental property.

Police also located a second victim in the shooting, identified as a 21-year-old man from Brampton. He was found at a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
