Ryan Reynolds is helping celebrate Team Canada at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics by lending his voice to an Air Canada commercial which celebrates our Olympic athletes as they go for gold in South Korea.
The ad, which debuted on TV on Friday, celebrates our home and native land with themes of multiculturalism, compassion and equality. Reynolds says he feels pride as a Canadian and holds these core values he wishes for his two young daughters to experience.
“I saw myself and my family in this script,” Reynolds said of the campaign. The 41-year-old Vancouver native and wife Blake Lively are parents to daughters James, 3, and Ines, 1.
He continues: “This is my experience of being Canadian, and the experience I want for my daughters. To be proud of where they come from, and of the values shared by all Canadians that are expressed in this ad. I also want them to be able to cheer for Team Canada (and their mother’s team, if she asks you what I said).”
Reynolds previously narrated Air Canada’s holiday campaign spot, “Our Home”.
